Really Good Sushi In Ballard. Shiku does the trick. The staff is VERY attentive, and really cares that you dig what you are eating. This is a really nice thing in Ballard. There are quite a few places that act like you are lucky to be there and Shiku does just the opposite. They are glad you are there. And the sushi is really nice. The Chirasi bowl is one of the best around. They make a HUMUHUMU something roll that kicks azz. Like I said, if you are bell’ing up to the bar, or taking the family in to eat. You won’t leave Shiku disappointed. You will dig it. It’s the best Sushi on the Ave.
Too Expensive!. We ordered Crunch roll for $10. It was half a roll size! Happy hour is the time to go.. Stuffed Mushroom: taste pretty weird and BAD!Crispy Spicy Tuna: OkayChicken Kara-age: Amazing crunch with very little breading
Happy hour is great. Kid-friendly & we had excellent service. We tried 11 different items and absolutely loved at least 9 of those. Others were good as well.
Okay. Horribly Slow. Heard it was good and tried it out. Incredibly SLOW service which would have been less obvious but the wait staff just pretty much ignored our party except for the water girl, who was admittedly good at keeping our waters filled. One of our party was a vegan and while the rest of us had options, she had very little (only two pieces of sushi on entire menu) which was surprising for a sushi restaurant in Seattle. Every specialty roll that vegetables only also used dairy or egg – not even tempura veggies were egg free, which was surprising. Blue C Sushi in Fremont has egg-free. We felt bad for her. Good rolls but not great. For the price, not worth it. Bad service and slowness really ruined it.
Delicious. The specialty rolls are amazing. The ninja and the Bruce Lee are favorites but everything that I have ever gotten has been very very good. This place does get busy and they don’t take reservations but it is worth the wait. I will keep coming back here over and over.
Excellent sushi and even better service. Kuk is the best sushi chef. Erin and Jason are great bartenders.
