Great, but overpriced. Excellent beers on tap, knowledgeable and friendly staff, fun and tasty munchies. Just be prepared to pay through the nose. I get the same beers in Tacoma for about $2 less per pint, but it’s still a pretty cool spot that I typically visit when I’m in Ballard.
Best beer spot in Ballard. You just can’t beat this spot for a good beer in Ballard. They have at least 16 rotating taps, and you can almost always get something from some of the top breweries in America, like Russian River or Dogfish Head. That’s not to overlook the dozens of local and regional breweries represented here. I can’t say enough good things about the tap list, the service, the ambiance, and the whole experience in general. This bar is the future.
Hands down, my favorite bar in Seattle.. Besides from the great drinks, tasty food, and attentive service, this place has a library of outdoor books and topo maps! If you’re looking to plan your next outdoor adventure come here and enjoy a drink and some snacks while you do it. The owner used to work at REI and is really helpful sharing his outdoor knowledge. He will even help you find the books that will fit your trip best. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place a couple months ago and now is our go to place when planning our outdoor trips.
A beautiful bar. Been here once so far, but plan to go back again as soon as possible. First thing to notice is the wonderful beer list that has obviously been picked with care, and It seems to rotate quite frequently. A great selection of local beers (including some favorites from Bellingham) is complemented by all manner of all stars from across the country (try anything from Russian River).Their already great beer list also sports a great selection of ciders as well. This is a combination that I wish would spread further, as it is one of my favorites. Price per pint seems a touch high, but your served a true 20oz imperial pint which more than makes up for it. The food is great too. Noble Fir seems to sport lots of small quality plates served with fresh bread. I had some smoked, cured meats, fresh mustard and a piece of smoked salmon that was perfectly done. Lots more to try here including sandwiches and a soup on Tuesday through Thursday.The inside is warm and cozy, and their is a great corner for planning your next trip outdoors with all manner of maps and trail guides. The service was great and the staff did a great job helping to select the beer that would be right for you.
Top quality munchies. This isn’t necessarily the place to go when you mainly want dinner or dessert. It’s more a place to get excellent snacks / appetizers while having drinks. The drink menu is fairly extensive and includes the largest cider selection I’ve ever seen. The food consists of high quality ingredients arranged simply, and brought me several moments of conversation-stopping transcendence.
Low key, great beer selection, small menu – but nice – think cheese and smoked salmon. Food to 11pm.
