Excellent oysters and great service. Local beers and wines. Lovely atmosphere. Hip-ish crowd plenty of tourists like us. Cute neighborhood which is known for restaurants. Restrooms were downstairs, not sure how accessible. Fun date night for our last night in town. Bread pudding yum
Great selection of raw oysters plus dinner mains and sides. Steamed clams with sausage are a unique take on this classic. Fried oysters were too heavily breaded for my taste but I know this is an accepted style. Will return next time I’m in Seattle!
Came here on a lazy evening with a friend. I had to get fresh seafood while I got the chance to go across the border. The Waltus and the Carpenter is a small dockside-like restaurant that has fresh oysters and happy hour was worth it! ordered around 40 or more oysters and a carpaccio with 2 different tataki. They had the best moscato d’asti called Cascinetta Vietti still remember that hint of sweetness with a perfect balance of peaches and rose petals.
The food is good ( but not 4 out of 5 good) and the staff is proficient and the crowd is young and trendy. But it’s overpriced, the line up is long, the music is to loud and annoying, and the 20 % service charge is outrageous. If you have limited time in Seattle I’d give this place a pass, it’s overrated.
this is a great place for oysters and cocktails. the bad thing is that everyone else has the same idea. they open up at 4 and there is a line already at the door. if you miss the first seating, you’re in for a wait. you can’t be seated unless everyone is there, either. during the winter, it’s small inside and not much seating. during the summer, there is an outside seating area that opens up. not many more seats, but it’s more. the oysters go up 50 cents every half hour, so order your spread early. you can get them fried too and i adore the fried brussel sprouts. they used to have anna, the master cocktail maker, but she has moved on several times times over. this place is goodness.
