Best service. Just stopped in for a burger and beer and was very pleasantly pleased not only by the decent fare (no foodie stuff, just basic bar foods) but by the outstanding service. We had fish and chips and a burger with onion rings. Both meals were what we were looking for! I will be back often to this nice friendly place 🙂
Mediocre Bar Food and Not-So-Good Drinks. Since this place had been a not-so-good neighborhood restaurant for a number of years, I was pleased to see a new name and ownership, and hoped for a better dining experience with some decent drinks. While the staff was friendly and engaging, and the interior improved, nothing else recommends this place for a repeat visit. I ordered a martini with olives and the recommended $12 fish tacos; the $8.25 martini was completely flat and undistinctive, as I believe it was made with unusually cheap gin, and the fish tacos were also unremarkable….cold tortillas, small deep-fried pieces of whitefish, and a not particularly colorful or flavorful bed of tomatoes and who-know-what-else on the tortillas. No accompanying salsa and certainly no healthy bed-of-greens. With the number of good restaurants and bars in this town, it’s unlikely I’ll return even though it’s in the neighborhood.
