Enjoyed this Classic Italian restaurant for my man’s birthday celebration. In true northwest fashion, the up scale decor, pricing and quality was made even more amazing by the laid back attire of the patrons. The pastas here are traditional – the flavors aren’t cutting edge or trendy, just Italian done right. Fresh pasta, quality ingredients, speaking for themselves. Great service, tasty wine, and gelato Down the street to top it all off! Also, they have air conditioning now, thank goodness. wanderlustandlipstick.com
My favorite place for Sunday brunch in Seattle, especially when the weather is fine, but even if it’s not. A walk afterwards through the farmers market and then a cupcake stop at Cupcake Royale- and you have the makings of a fine Sunday indeed! My two favorite brunch items have got to be: 1. Milano! Milano! -they had me at the fun name! This savory bread pudding comes topped with a generous splash of rich smoked Gouda sauce and the asparagus on the side is perfection. Calorie bomb did you say? I did say asparagus on the side that’s healthy! 2. The chestnut pancakes with mascarpone and sauted Apple are hearty, wholesome and a wonderful combination of textures and flavors. Wash it all down with excellent coffee and you are sorted!
