Massively disappointing. Wa…. Massively disappointing.Waited 30 minutes past our reservation ( there is no bar, you just stand in the doorway) for mediocre food served at what was clearly a card table.
No longer what it was. Four of us had dinner at this restaurant last Saturday, my wife and I had been here before 2-3 times and always had a good meal.I do not know what happens to restaurants that do a good a job and then all of the sudden they get complacent and it all goes to down hill but somehow raise their prices and serve bad food and give bad service. Our dinner arrived, 2 of them where like ward, 2 of the ice cold, my wife’s pear & Gorgonzola ravioli whew ice cold, and my nieces husbands lasagna was cold as well, we asked the waiter to please have them re-cooked, within 3 minutes the waiter came back with the same plates the he took back with him, steaming hot, they had just stuck the plates in the microwave and reheated, do you have any idea what ravioli does when you microwave it, it turned into rubber. My diner which was Chicken Picata was OK except the fact that they put tomato sauce on the pasta that accompanied the Picata, never heard of that or have ever had Chicken or Veal Picata served that way. We didn’t say anything as we where trying to have a nice and uneventful dinner. I ordered a cup of coffee after dinner, the coffee they brought was so old and burned, and you could smell it as the waiter brought it. I went up to ask for the manager, he finally came out and I mentioned the burned coffee and our meals, he proceeded to tell me that they cant cook lasagna top order, and I explained to him that you cant take ravioli and put them in the microwave, he really did not seem to concerned, but did say he would take care of it.We ordered dessert, a crme Brulee, and a gelato, my wife and I shared the crme Brulee, as I put the spoon in it I notice there was a light watery liquid at the bottom of the Brulee, and it was very grainy as if it had been over baked, needles to say another disappointment, my wife took the Brulee up to the waiter and poured out the liquid on the plate to show him there was a problem.Needles to say the waiter became rude and cold toward after my going to the manager and talking to him which ended the evening even on a worse note.I was wondering why most of the staff including our waiter was Hispanic in an Italian restaurant, including the cooks, there was always Italian staff and the cooks where not Hispanic, not that I care, but it seems somewhat strange. In today’s economy why would you risk giving inferior food and serve and charging for it, I see people reviews are mostly favorable we must be talking a bout 2 different place, I personally will Never be back for any reason!!
