Yuck. The singular worst dining experience of my life. Bad food…offensive language from kitchen…and so much more. The best thing I can say is that the wait service was somewhere between poor and mediocre. Yes, really, that is the best thing I can say.
Top Bellevue Italian. I love Angelo’s. I have been coming here for years and had to write a review. It’s family-owned and I love that about it (in this day-in-age of chains with no character). They have great chefs and amazing specials. I love the sambuca prawns and filet mignon– it’s better than the more expensive steaks at fancier, overpriced places. The service is wonderful and I always feel valued when I eat here. They also have amazing pastas– I love their gnocchi specials (when they have them) and the linguini pesto. Oh, and the chicken piccata is really good, too.Definately the best Italian on the Eastside. The only thing they could do better is the decor. But, I guess that adds to some of the charm. They don’t need to change much when the service and food is so good.
Meh….. Strike 2, they’re out. Last time (1 yr ago) service was HORRIBLE, totally ignored. Food was average and small menu so not much to choose from. This time service less horrible than last time – waitress was nice & attentive until food was served, then she disappeared. Finally the bus-person (after an extremely long wait) asked if we wanted dessert and eventually (wake me up if I fall asleep) brought then picked up the check. We’d asked for a booth and were told those were for reserved seats only – however in over 1.5 hours we were there several of the booths had not been seated. Food totally mediocre, veal piccata with bland taste and not tender. Veggies over cooked, ceaser salad OK, very dry, but they did offer and include some whole anchovies. Cheese ravioli in tomato cream sauce OK, but sauce could have been from a jar, ravioli was small and nothing special, slightly tough/chewy. Bread was good but obviously store-bought, butter in Darigold foil packets (thought that only happened at Denny’s?). Not worth the Premier price of admission.
Horrible!!!!
Best Food and Service!. Love the food, always great service. GREAT prices and so much character– in Bellevue’s world of glossy, fancy, corporate-y feeling joints, this family restaurant is authentic and one of the best– good food every time, inexpensive, and great staff. If it changed locations would be the most sought after restaurant in town.
Bleh. Service was great. Food tasted like cafeteria food. Pasta was right out of a food service box and overcooked. This place would be a fine lunch spot in a corporate tower downtown and would probably be overpriced at 70% of what it costs. The prices aren’t all that steep, it’s that the food is not worthy of this price.
Best Italian in East side. Friendly and attentive service;Mellow atmosphere;Good food! ( I can tell they don’t have MSG !)I WILL COME BACK TO YOU ANGELO !!
