I dragged my feet to try this place due to all the unpleasant experience that other folks had — but I was glad we went!We did not experience any unexpected closure or shortage of ingredients, and tried house black milk tea, matcha milk tea, Thai milk tea and earl grey milk tea in 3 separate occasions.I love their adjustable sugar scale for drinks. The house black milk tea was fantastic. I had it both hot and cold, both were creamy with strong and nice black tea flavor.The matcha milk tea was made with real powder matcha hence it had the bitter taste, which I enjoyed as well. Thai milk tea was just as expected, but the Earl Grey milk tea was out of this world with elegant bergamot flavor.Their bubbles are just as good as Boba Express’, and pudding was eggy, soft and loaded with caramelized sugar flavor — I just wish there was more in the cup.We tried the special house-made pineapple cake that day too: it was good, but very expensive.I will go there again! doofniks.com
Now in Bellevue. They’ve moved to the old Cefiore location in downtown Bellevue off of Bellevue Way. Park at the Safeway lot (covered garage, plenty of spots) and walk on over. If you’re a seasoned DTB vet, then you know you need to be patient (all good things come to those who wait!) and you know the low down of the sugar levels and which drinks you like. If you haven’t been before, go check it out! They have a FB page you can check for specials and updates. It’s not just drinks over there, they have amazing deserts sometimes and ice cream. With the sun coming out these days you might have to wait, but it’s worth it!

Sooo Good!. Amazing place, awesome bubble tea. The menu is limited but very high quality. I do think they would benefit from adding a few more key flavors that are standard in the bubble tea community (Taro at the very least), but I’d still go there over any other place for the Black Milk Tea. Their tapioca is PERFECT. 🙂 Hopefully they’ll be around for a long time.The drive thru is really hard to get to, unfortunately. They really need a sign that says where to turn in to get in to the building!
I’ve never met anyone who is as passionate for serving high quality bubble tea and ice cream like the owner of drive thru boba. like a fine crafted cocktail i am not joking when i say that he makes each drink with the utmost care and love. i am serious. he uses a tumbler to shake the ingredients – not just a blender – and ensures that the drink is exactly to your liking. his enthusiasm is contagious. he also makes each ice cream in house and they sell out quickly – so get there fast.
