Tried the fish and chips…much in a hurry as I had to catch a movie. Good food and will try something different next time. Must say I did not become an instant fan and anything that you don’t want to have the second time does not meet the cut. So very much like a one time watch movie which incidentally Mummy turned out to be eventhough there was Tom Cruise in it.

My $30 rockfish fillet tasted slightly off, but I was assured by the waiter it was just the salsa. A few hours later I was sick in the bathroom with food poisoning that has lasted for days. The manager’s response when I called: Thanks, we’ll keep an eye on it in the future. No apologies, no offer to make things right, no nothing.Avoid this place.

Don’t come here unless you’re ready to empty your wallet for a fancy meal. Maybe leave it for anniversaries and special occasions. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us at our table. Unfortunately it was in a corner by the window (plus) but under an A/C vent (boo). Within seconds we knew we couldn’t sit here the entire meal. We were looking uncomfortable and looking up at the ceiling when our server came… who looked up at the ceiling too, gave us a weird look, and passed us the menus. If she was a good server she should’ve clued in on us and/or ask us if we were ok and offered a different table. Instead, it took her ages to come back with waters so we could tell her we wanted to change seats. She offered the window booth next to us. Great, that would’ve done nothing. Instead, we pointed to the booths in the middle of the dining room. She maintained a stuck-up attitude the entire night and did not try to initiate conversation or make meal suggestions. At least the food was good (calamari, stuffed shrimp, top sirloin, signature rock fish) but the atmosphere and service we got makes this a mediocre rating.

Can’t beat the cinnamon ice cream here…

Waiting staff was great. Horrible filet. Way to much fat and more like a sirloin. Will not go back. Go to tulio which is three blocks away. Ate there the night before and it was the best meal we had on our trip.

Hacks. While I admit I enjoyed the lobster bisque, it was $12. For soup. The other dishes presented to us could have easily come from a cafeteria line. Salmon that was so grossly overcooked it had virtually no color, and completely devoid of flavor. Every starch we saw had physical qualities more reminiscent of granite, piled inches high in bizarre monuments to the potato. Vegetables which were undercooked and unseasoned. All of that sets aside the obvious issue of price and value for dollar. Plainly they exist here to take advantage of Microsoft T&E budgets and ‘impress’ visitors by dining at a ‘fancy’ restaurant. I doubt very many locals under the age of 70 have this place on their list to visit again. The Zagat rating for this place is very generous – I’ve never really followed them much, but now I put zero credence in what they have to say.

They are interested in turning tables fast and the servers and managers did a great job displaying favoritism to white clients. Maybe I was in the wrong area of town but as a highly successful person I never expect respect unless I first respect those I meet. The staff here had no respect for my family and I and my wife, a white American, pointed out that the staff at this restaurant were obviously racist. We had lobster shells in our lobster salad and the oysters were prepared by amateurs that should never be handling oysters. The oysters had too many oyster shells fragments. The glass cups were dirty and white grainy food remains on the inside of the cups. I will never go back to this restaurant chain and will never hold business meetings here ever again.
