  Downtown Bellevue has so many eating options, but sometimes the gems are off the beaten path in completely nondescript locations. Enter Pho Ever and you are greeted with a pleasant and simple interior. As you are seated, you have a nice menu of various Vietnamese items and some other Asian goods. Many good rice dishes and traditional Vietnamese sandwiches and of course pho. The price is average and on par with other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Pho comes in nice sized bowls and has a savory broth. You can always water it down,or add some bite with fresh squeezed lemon. The rice dishes I’ve had with meat have always been prepared well. They make pretty good sandwiches here as well. My biggest complaint is portion sizes. For me the portions are fine, but I’ve had many friends say they thought the portions were too small, and I can understand that. Even with meat dishes, you are not given a mound of meat like other restaurants. I would like to say it is because they use better quality products, but that is not the case.Staff is friendly and ready to help.Service has been good, but I have never gone when it is busy. I would give Pho Ever a good rating for not messing anything up on the many times I have been there, but they are marked down for portion size. But overall, they are a good restaurant.

  edit: I originally gave a review for Pho Ever back in January ’16, but since then I have become a pretty big fan of this location! I guess I just went on a day that I wasn’t super satisfied with the food, but now I have to say they make some super delicious broth. The meat quality has seemed to have gotten better as well. Also, their Bun Bo Hue is super delicious, with just the right amount of spice. I had their vermicelli bowl a few times as well, and my oh my do you get a great deal for your money. original post January ’16: Didn’t particularly enjoy the food here especially because the meat wasn’t up to my standards. There was more than average amount of meat in my bowl of soup, but the broth was under seasoned and I didn’t have enough noodles to go with all that meat. The standard size was bigger than I expected so it was good value for my money I guess. Going to continue my Pho journey and try somewhere else next time. Also too many onions which I’m not a fan of in my Pho.

  Pho Getit. We heard about this new pho place in an old 7-11 so we gave it a try. The sweltering heat, bland pho, poor quality meat and dirty water drove us away. No service to speak of and little to recommend this restaurant – especially the MSG reaction we had as we left. If they cleaned their ice machine and turned on the AC, it would have been 2-stars.
