I was quite disappointed with a large variety of food I sampled at Toy’s. Let’s start with the positive.Their green onion pancake was good, nice and crisp with good flavor; and the pig’s ears are ok, not bad and not great — good crunch with soy flavorl; the spicy wonton, while not spicy enough, had tender pork fillings and soft skin.The negatives: salt and pepper tofu was deep-fried really well, but completely bland with no salt or pepper flavors; my braised preserved vegetables with duck rice noodle was pretty tasteless with overcooked duck; the spicy seafood noodle soup was not spicy and the soup was very nondescript in flavor with very soft noodle. Cold spicy cucumber was not spicy at all, and the cucumber was not crunchy enough (they also did not use small English cucumbers). The cold shredded tofu was super salty and the tofu was not shredded noodle like but cut in not very fine sticks.Unfortunately, I won’t be returning there anytime soon. doofniks.com
