  HomeSkillet is one of our favorite breakfast places in Bellingham (though I don’t know when we’ll be back again…not because it was at all bad, but…well, read on). It can be very busy on weekends, and the most they can seat together is 4, but we usually come on a weekday during breaks and such, and the wait is never long, if there is one at all. Our go-to is the Pulled Pork Tater Tot Hash. It is pretty good, and turns excellent with the addition of some of the homemade sauces provided. We ordered this again this trip. I found it good, but not quite as amazing as in the past. Perhaps the novelty is wearing off?We also had the Meaty Veggie Scramble. It was good–what you’d expect from that dish. The kids split a full order of pancakes, one giant cake each. It was enough for them. The prices aren’t the cheapest here (with tip we spent $50, much more than I want to spend on breakfast, typically), but the food is excellent and the atmosphere is unique–we sat at a table with My Little Ponies painted on the tabletop and actual My Little Ponies zip-tied to the overhead lamp.

  I’m so glad we got there on time, the food was amazing and the staff fun! We had heard about the place from You Gotta Eat Here and I tried the hot green mess which was soooo good! Just beware, they close at 2pm not 3pm, we were almost too late!

  I wish there were more joints like this. The only way you will be disappointed is if they are too busy for you to get a meal. Nuffsaid! They even have nice coffee!

  This thing is the perfect hangover cure. I promise. Easy in and easy out quick service good food. Can’t ask for much more. Except for hot sauce.

  I always have such a huge bias when I review places that service breakfast because I absolutely love breakfast food. I found HomeSkillet online and decided to check it out. Seeing that I was at the HomeSkillet, I had the homeskillet with sausage. It was really nice. It’s a little on the greasy side, so I think better enjoyed if you’re a litte on the hungover side. Its a tiny place, so there is a little bit of a wait. The owners are really warm and friendly. The only thing that really bugged me about this place was it kind of exudes pretentious hipster. Also the two friends I went with didn’t feel so great after enjoying their food here. I mean I’d still go back because I love breakfast.
