Happy that Luna’s is in Barkley Village – good addition -. Happy that Luna’s is just a few minutes from our home – need Luna’s in Barkley Village – my husband and I go out once or twice a week and have enjoyed Luna’s, as I have, separately, with girlfriends, for various birthdays – the food was good – I always order the pasta with seafood – the wait staff was attentive – we’ve always enjoyed going to Luna’s –

Fantastic!. First of all, I don’t appreciate all the negative reviews this NEW restaurant is getting. Give it a chance! The wine list is extensive, the beer selection is hand chosen, the appetizers are tasty, the location is great! It can be cozy/romantic, but it is also family friendly. The Bistecca di Manzo is to die for. They also have great pizza options. I loved Luna’s Bistro.

Didn’t even get our food!. We visited the Luna Bistro last night for the first time before going to a movie and ordered a pizza thinking that would be relatively quick before going to the movie. After over half an our of waiting we asked when we’d be getting our pizza. The waitress went to check on it and another 10 minutes later she came back to inform us our order had gone to a different table. We didn’t have time to wait for another pizza to be made so we left. I have no idea if their food is good but based on that service, we won’t be going back to find out.

Things change not for the good. The first time was impressive but not today.our favorite beer was out, they decided not to serve wings anymore and they were out of clams.we paid 11.$ for two small glasses of wine.oh and did I mention the front door was locked?25 Oct, 2014Like it. Went to Luna’s for happy hour fri.I liked the atmosphere within a short time the place was nearly full.we had wings great could have had a bit more spice. Also had steamers delich, very rich.the price is nice too.We will go back.

The worst excuse for Itailian food I have ever experianced.. As I was trained as a cook in Italy I know Italian food and this is not even close. Wife and I had lunch there this week. Salad mix was old and turning brown. And apparently from Cash and Carry or Costco. The ravioli appetizer was deep fried and served with a canned Marinara sauce. If it was house made they did a very good job imitating canned sauce. This place is really bad.

So glad we did. Today was my birthday and typically, I don’t do new restaurants on special occasions bc you never know what you’re going to get food and service wise. Anyway, I read the reviews on this bistro and was leary, but honestly, from the moment I walked in, it smelled so good! We were promptly seated in a comfortable booth even though the place was about 75% full. Extensive selection of wines and appetizers. We had the steamer clams and Caprese salad while we drank our wine. The waitress checked on us, but wasn’t pushy. I’m sure restaurants try to keep a constant turnover, I really didn’t get that feel here on a busy Saturday evening. Our entrees took awhile, which I was glad because that usually means some care is going into preparation. They had a huge variety of many dishes including a fish of the day which I thought was a nice touch. The quality was high and very tasty. I travel back east (NY, NJ, PA) a lot where the Italian food tends to be more authentic, but I didn’t think that here. The bistro is significantly better than Olive Garden, and as much as I like Mambo Italiano, I do hold Luna Bistro a few notches above. I thought being near the theatre worked well for this place with all the windows you can watch all the passers by. Luna is now my favorite Italian in town. If I had a stuffy pompous guest staying with me who liked to overpay and be treated poorly-I would take them to Giuseppe’s. Everyone else I will take to Luna’s Bistro. Well done! I had a lovely time and wonderful birthday.

Excellent service and amazing food. My wife and I eat out about once a week and are picky about where we go. With that being said: This place had an amazing staff who in and of themselves could have made the experience worthwhile. However, the food was also amazing. I had Ravioli (spelling?) with a white sauce and my wife had chicken parmesan (spelling again?). These dishes are both made with in-house ingredients and were spectacular. The restaurant itself it pretty neat as well. It offers a variety of seating including booths, a bar, larger tables and an upstairs. All in all we will be back to try something else. I would recommend it.
