I have a hard time judging Thai food. We have relatives who spent much of their youth in Thailand, and they don’t rate On Rice near the top of the Bellingham Thai charts. My impression is that On Rice is a bit on the sugary side (not that it’s over-sweetened, but just that it is sweeter than other places), but I still end up eating all of it and finding it entirely satisfying, so there you go. See? I can’t judge. We ordered take out in this instance, and went with our typical choices, cashew chicken, ginger peasant, and red curry. We got a yellow curry, too. We don’t usually get that, but we had additional people eating with us. I liked everything, though the ginger dish wasn’t gingery enough. I picked around the pineapples in the yellow curry, and found it tasty enough.
Don’t go to this location! On Rice is amazing (everytime!) at the Fairhaven location! It’s worth the drive!!I’ve been to this location six times, and every time I regret it! The items are so-so and not worth it. I’d rather drive 10 minutes for better food.
