This new and very small Asian restaurant features predominantly Thai food, but has some Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese offerings as well. The food is good. We started by sharing two appetizers: The Sky Roll and the Hammer. The Vietnamese style Sky Roll featured a good amount of shrimp and was served with two sauces: an excellent peanut sauce and a not too interesting basil ginger sauce. The Hammer appetizer was a satay like dish that featured chicken pork, corn and onion on a strand of lemon grass (see picture) and was served with an excellent and spicy sauce which I can only describe as an Asian style pico de gallo. In summary, the appetizers were excellent. For entres, my wife had the Tom Kha Soup with tofu. It was not the best version of this dish shes tasted, but it was still quite acceptable. The major problem was the lack of spiciness. She forgot to specify it and the waitress forgot to ask. I had the Panang Curry with seafood (shrimp and calamari) ordered at the 5/5 heat level. It featured a generous amount of seafood and a good, but not excellent curry sauce. The heat level was more like 4/5. Better versions of this dish can be found at places like Asian 1 or Busara Thai Cuisine, although I doubt that youll get as much seafood at those places. All in all, this is a really nice little restaurant.
Good experience!. The place itself looks very nice and the people are incredibly friendly. The food is very good, I’m tempted to try everything on the menu based of what I had.
Great food!. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and easy going, welcoming atmosphere. Authentic Thai menu. Food came quickly and looked amazing! It tasted even better! I definitely recommend Pok Pok Pok for your next night out.
