When I said we were staying at the Mayflower, a shopkeeper said that Andaluca had one of the best chefs in Seattle. So we tried it and weren’t disappointed. I had two appetizers, the crab tower and potato croquettes as my dinner and both were very good. My sister loved the paella and my husband and niece really enjoyed the chicken with potatoes. He loved the sauce. We had two desserts that were great, too. Definitely on the pricey side, but the service was perfect and the atmosphere is very nice. I say try it if you want to treat yourself.
Lovely Birthday dinner at Andaluca. It had been some time since we last dined at Andaluca (too many new restaurants to choose from) but thought we would go again. The decor is lovely and intimate, our server Ashley was knowledgable and easy to work with. She made great recommendations, like the Lamb Pasta dish and Calamari (which was a little more Crispy than it should have been but still good). My ONLY criticism was the specialty cocktail which used bottled lemon juice. The flavor was flat and so was the champagne. Our server immediately recognized my wifes’ turned up nose and offered another drink. Excellent service and flavors in this cozy atmosphere.
Breakfast has been lame here for years. Breakfast here is thin, not to mention expensive. It has been that way for years. One slice of toast, bacon’s very thin. Nice potatoes, but overall it felt like it was spooned out of a buffet.
WHAT HAPPENED. Upon a recent visit I have noticed the food portions and just plain cooking going down hill. I had a great visit last year but cannot say the same for this visit. I emailed the restaurant GM to raise my concerns but have not received a reply to date.I guess he must be too busy running sandwiches to the bar to answer e mails. I will not be returning, my money will find its way to the better restaurants out there. In short go elsewhere….
This is on the better end of hotel restaurants. The home madehumus is seriously good, the scallops were excellent and the lamb meatballs were yummy. This is not the best you’ll find I seattle I’m sure but it is very very good!
Disappointed. Many good reviews and I’m always a fan of good paella, so when friends suggested we try Andaluca, I was on board. Sadly mine came out very dry and extremely overcooked. I was only able to eat about a third of the dish as the balance was hard as a rock. Off night perhaps, but I won’t return to find out.
