If I ever return to Seattle, I will definitely return to Caf Campagne for brunch! I am a quiche lover…having said that, this was the best quiche I ever had, made with mounds of Dungeness crab. It melted in my mouth!! Nice location too…outside tables (in summer) overlook Post Alley. And it is just up the hill from the Public Market.

Well talk about an experience. This place lives up to its name. When you walk in the front door you leave the streets of Seattle behind and enter a French cafe complete with old world charm. The food is exactly as it claims to be with no surprises. The chicken and pork sausage is unbelievable. The French toast is decadent. The service is friendly and approachable. Negatives would be the eggs in the omelette are a bit wet and lack any flavor or seasoning. Because of the acoustics it is difficult to have a private conversation and you hear all your neighbors information as well. But overall a good experience.
Thought we would try out this nice little French restaurant near Pike Market. Service was very good, wine very nice and the entree delicious. The mains came and I was shocked that a steak arrived with over cooked fried….. And that is all? I have eaten in French restaurants before and all dishes I have had in the past had a small salad or veg on the side. The steak was terrible, it was tough to the point of being difficult to cut, the fries were dry and over cooked. My wife had the duck, which was a bit dry and the potatoes with it were not cooked properly, still hard in the middle. We have had better steak at a Denny’s for a third of the price. Not even close to the standard this restaurant should be, very disappointed.
French Onion Soup. Hey
