Took the family here recently for a mini-trip in Seattle. Did the usual touristic things and visited this restaurant. overall the food was good though the menu seems limited, probably for a good reason. Most notable is the crab cake, which was very enjoyable. Like all things in Seattle, things are pricey especially around summer season and this restaurant is no exception. We spent about $220 including tips for 3 people so you’re not going to find much value here.

Very impressive brunch in the heart of Seattle. I had the duck hash, and the contrasting flavors and textures were on point. The portion sizes were surprisingly large as well.

Excellent meal at the Dahlia Lounge recently. We sat at the bar, as the restaurant was full. We were well taken care of by the bar tender & it was great watching her make the drinks. I had a fantastic fried chicken & scallop dish & my guest had the five spice duck. Both dishes were beautifully presented & very tasty. We finished off the meal by sharing a piece of the signature coconut cream pie & it was fantastic. I am not that big onpie, but it truly was wonderful. Not too sweet, great crispy crust & good pudding texture. So delicious.

One of Tom Douglas’ many restaurants in Seattle serving up interesting dishes with a twist. The Dahlia bakery bread is served with seaweed butter to add a salty essence. The Buffalo-style cauliflower is a vegetarian take on Buffalo wings. It’s served with thinly sliced celery, instead of celery stalks, chunks of blue cheese, instead of blue cheese for a dipping sauce, bourbon maple syrup roasted pecans, and fresh cauliflower bathed in a slightly spicy sauce and flash fried. It’s quite good. Douglas offers Little Tastes From The Bar that includes oysters with a tomato mignonette; smoked salmon with hot mustard and octopus pepperonata. Mains include a Keta salmon with Washington corn, foraged chanterelles and mountain Huckleberries. Pair it with a WA 9 Hats Chardonnay. The Alaskan Halibut had tender roasted carrots, farro, herb yogurt and mint. Pastas are a chickpea agnolotti with fairy tale eggplant, yellow curry, tomato, fried chickpeas and a splash of fish sauce. We finished with a coconut cream pie and chocolate truffle that seemed over-priced.The atmosphere is dark with cozy booths and tables. It a fun place to dine while in Seattle. dineandtravel.wordpress.com

On point. Everything – from the stiffly poured cocktails to the main course to the french fries to the server to the atmosphere – was on point. This place is pricey, but it’s ones of the very few I can say is worth it, from the standpoint of quality.
