Really cute place and we were really looking forward to coming here as they have a meat and cheese menu with chef selections. The cheese were all good and easy to eat. The bread was phenomenal ! The meats were all good as well (first time trying beef tongue). Wine was tasty and only $26 for a bottle. They have a mandatory service / tip charge which is totally fine and what I would normally tip anyways however this made for an odd experience as our servers changed and left without saying anything, so 20-25 minutes later (empty wine glasses and all) we were approached by a new staff who cleared away our table without asking if we wanted anything else. It made for an odd experience.
Nice cocktail – Cap Martin. I went there for dinner. And I had the tuna. It was really great. The fish was cooked just right. Like a medium rare. And the tomato broth was awesome. With a little bit spicy.
Great staff, great food, great setting! I had the roasted quail – no complaints. Good wine selection. Definitely worth the walk if you’re in the area.
Had a nice dinner. The starter was a bit small and boring in presentation although the pates were good. Entrees were good and the service was excellent.
This is an OK place for breakfast (at best). They had limited options for non pork eaters. I had two slices of toast with pate of chicken liver …the pate was great, but the bread was kind of stale. We also tried the cheese platter. Amazing cheeses! But once again the bread that came with was gross.
Lovely French style bistro. We had the delicious baked eggs with cheese & ham, as well as a fresh, flavourful Bibb lettuce salad with a delicious vinegrette dressing & fresh, crusty bread. Had a great Americano too. The only downside is that, on a chilly, rainy day, the front door opening & closing makes the space cold & uncomfortable. The owners should consider installing a heavy curtain near the entrance to serve as a barrier between the outside & the restaurant (as is done in many small Paris bistros).
Nourriture Dlicieuse — Delicious Food!. I’ve been to Le Pichet three or four times and every time gets better than the time before! Their Assiette de charcuterie is perfect for a few guests to enjoy. A mix of cold cuts and then combining with a few of their signature cheeses is a lovely mid-day snack to go with your glass of wine. Strangely though one of my other favorite dishes is the Salade verte with a savory hazelnut vinaigrette. It is a perfect spot to stop in and live like a Parisian for an hour or two!
