What I went for: breakfast! With more than a few hours to kill before my connecting flight home- I decided breakfast in the city was far more appealing than the airport lounge. Ambience: spread over 3 floors with fabulous views of the Puget sound, Elliot’s bay and the Olympic mountain range. Wooden booths overlooking the busy pike place market and a bar seating with happy hours for cocktails from breakfast time really set the tone for the place :)What I ordered: the famous omelette with Dungeness crab!Verdict: Glad I undertook the 30 min train ride from the airport into downtown.. a glorious day at pike place market.. there is something about the first few hours in a market place.. the fresh smell of bread wafting from the bakeries, the sunlight streaming, the birds chirping, the fish mongers busy spreading their ware or in the case of Pike place throwing the slippery creatures high up in the air and then catching them!!I was by myself and had time to take in the old pictures, cute clock while I waited for my order of crab omelette. My phone was dead and I guess the longer than the usual waiting time helped get some life back::.Espresso arrived promptly:. I needed it and by that I mean I really needed it.. as I waited for my brekkie, I read the pike place market news and realized that Athenian next door was the venue in the famous movie Sleepless In Seattle.. The crab omelette arrived with buttered sourdough toast and potato Rosti..Omelette was fluffy, generously filled with fresh crab and went well with the Tabasco sauce.. I finished the whole damn thing without a care for anything!! It was good.Would I return?? Lowells- yes, Pike place market- oh yes, Seattle- oooohhhhh yessssss 🙂

This is an amazing restaurant for breakfast and lunch i Pike place market. Getting to it, you get to enjoy the sights, smells and vibe of Pike place market. You are surrounded by the Fish and the Fruits and the Flowers and your senses are assaulted (in a good way). Once in, there is a nice spread to choose from. You may have to stand in a queue before you get your order in but the queue also affords you some time to make a choice. You place your order at the till, collect your table counter and I would recommend that you head straight for the seating area on the third level. If you are early enough for the service (breakfast or lunch), you stand a good chance of landing yourself a table by the windows. Its a view worth being early for. The food arrives at your table and you can dig in. But if you want my advise, take it slow. Savor every bite and every moment you get to spend enjoying the view of the Puget sound, the ferris wheel on the waterfront, the Bainbridge ferry shuttling up and down the sound and the Olympic peninsula in the distance. The views are great, and the food is as good if not better. Lowell’s is definitely a place that you should make time for the next time you are in Seattle.

It did have a great view, the portions were a bit small given the price. The food was pretty good but not outstanding. I had the grilled halibut with rice, asparagus. My dining companions had fish & chips (halibut) and the grilled seafood (crab cake, shrimp, and mixed veggies. It was all OK. Convenient. Welcome to Seattle to us.

This was simply amazing! Maybe it’s because I’m not American so I’m not used to this kind of breakfast but, honestly, the best fried eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns ever! The view is nice as well and the staff helpful.

I come here most times on my stopover to Seattle and like most tourists maybe it’s the waterfront view with some decent seafood that gets me here. A non fancy fuss, laid back kinda place with a nice view and friendly proactive servers. I’ve always had good appetising food here personally on each of my visits and a nice experience overall.

What a nice surprise. Upon walking up to the counter to order my breakfast, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was floored by this near-perfect breakfast. Don’t get any big ideas — this is not going to be a gourmet breakfast, but it’s not supposed to be. This is a classic, no-frills, short-order breakfast, but everything is done extremely well. This is where to go when you want eggs, hash browns, a piece of toast, and a black cup of coffee with no fuss about it.
