We were meeting friends for drinks and a meal to share and found this spot near Pike’s Place Market. Although we are not whiskey fans, we enjoyed their local beers on tap. The food selection although small was excellent. Try their beef brisket dish or the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Our waitress was on top of things and brought us extra soup bowls so we could all enjoy their excellent soup. It was a busy noisy place and a fun way to meet up with friends. Would go there again.

Seen this place write up in so many places that I had to try!Wow, the drink list was amazing, but none of us were big drinker in our party, and we were really going for the food.I had the pork belly dish with Brussels sprouts, and DH had the pulled pork sandwich.Everything was way too salty; the food would go great with drinks, but stand alone, they were way too salty.Pulled pork sandwich had great soft bun, cheesy and tender pork.Brussels sprouts with fried pork belly was predominantly hoisin sauce and siracha flavor. I like the spiciness, but again, very salty, with a good soft runny egg.The lamb neck was also very tender, onion shoe strings were very flavorful.Unfortunately food were too salty to return. doofniks.com

Worth the wait. They said it would be an hour so we put our names on the list and had a drink down the street. They sent us a text when the table was ready. If you like whiskey and meat go here. Everything was great from drinks to food to atmosphere.

Whiskey and Meat?!My friend kept asking why I did not pre order the Smoked Pig Head ($48)?! But after she saw how big even the half head was, she knew it was mission impossible.Making our reservation using Opentable was easy. Reservation highly recommended as even at 9 pm on a Tuesday evening, the place was packed.Popcorn with drinks? Local Whiskey Sampler? And tons of meat!!Fried Beef Lip Terrine ($10)Fried Pork Shank ($16)Heirloom Tomato ($8)And Sampler of Local Flight: Oola Bourbon, John Jacob Rye, Westland Single MaltBeers on Draft are $5/pintUnlimited Freshly Popped PopcornNow this is what I call a Girl’s Night Out!

Very good food, kind of fun how it is tucked away up on the third floor, typically a very fun crowd, the real star though are the drinks. Great selections of liquors, some a bit obscure, and very well mixed with both the servers and bartenders being very knowledgable and willing to answer questions.

Ah mazing! The pork shoulder was awesome, and I usually don’t like pork. Crispy and bacon-like on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. Topped off my Mama Lil’s Peppers. Also had the squash salad – thin strips of summer squash, parm and creamy dressing. The best part is that this place does not seem to be a fancy schmancy foodie hangout, it’s loud, hot and certainly bar-like. Also, there is a gigantic wall of whisky, so there’s that. wanderlustandlipstick.com

Meat and Whiskey!. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, more pork, and a wide selection of whiskeys and cocktails in general. We started with the tots topped with gravy and a fried egg. Damn good. Then I had the fried pork shank, and my friend had the turkey leg. Both entrees were delicious, but we favored the pork shank. Prepare yourself as the portions are huge and the cocktails are plentiful. They also have a great happy hour (4-6pm) where there’s always a whiskey special, and you can get in on the Tots for only $5.
