Extremely fresh; menu is accessible to both novices and adventurous sushi lovers. Sake selection did it’s job; however, I would have liked a few more options. Service was nondescript, as he was ready to answers any questions but added little to the overall dining experience.

Shiros – Best Sushi I have hadI was introduced to an absolutely delectable sampling of sushi and sashimi at Shiro’s way back in 2009. Ever since, I have travelled to Seattle multiple times and have made my way to Shiro’s almost every time. I have also taken the opportunity to introduce many of my friends to the flavors of Sushi and Sashimi at Shiros on these multiple trips. For most of them, it was their first trysts with Japanese cuisine and the conversion rate has been a whopping 100%I have tried Japanese food in many places but haven’t yet had an experience that would compare to Shiros. Even though this is a quaint little joint where you will almost always struggle to get a reservation if you dont give yourself enough time to make one, there is a warmth and character to the place that compels you to not explore alternatives and rather make the effort to find a table here. The food is great (obviously), the service is prompt and the price is steep. I dont think the cuisine served is for everyone (esp. not for Indians), but once you acquire the taste, there aren’t many places that will satiate the craving for Sushi the way Shiros canI am going with a 4.5 out of 5 for the experiences that I have had at Shiros.

Believe the Hype. Without a doubt the best sushi I’ve ever had. Take a break from the conveyor belts and assembly-line happy-hour rolls and try the real thing. I recommend sharing the 20-pc chef’s selection assorted sashimi. A bargain at the price, and a fantastic introduction to a large variety.
