Julio’s is one of our favorite places to eat in Bothell! The food is simple, flavorful and filling. When pregnant, I counted on their burritos for a filling gentle meal of rice and beans and seasoned meat. They have updated their decor so it’s more contemporary. We miss the rustic look but the updated menu took good food and made it even better.

Omnomnomnom…. So I was sitting at the hair salon just up the street when my stylist suggested Julio’s. My mother had gone before and had been a bit leery about it, which… well… I can either take with a grain of salt or seriously. Wasn’t sure which I should in that case as she and I agree on some and not others. Well, I had one of their dishes recommended to me, so of course I tried it. I have never put something that amazing in my mouth from any Mexican Restaurant in my life. Their carne asada salad was gone within minutes. The meat was perfect. It wasn’t overcooked, it had an amazing flavor, and it wasn’t all gristly. Their chips and their salsa are both AMAZING. Their chips are thick and it’s more than a little apparent that they make them from tortillas in the torn edges. My friend who’d been visiting for the weekend has been raving about them nonstop. That’s a good sign.By and large, I’m very pleased with the place.
