Great Pies. Pizzas are made with toppings under the mozzerella cheese. Their Danish mozzerella tastes fantastic, it has a buttery flavor. Sparta’s sandwiches are good also.
A family favorite. The best in town for Pizza. Their crust is amazing, and the Danish cheese really is superior. The baked Cannelloni is worth splurging on. Garlic bread, fabulous salads, and fun and friendly servers round out the experience. They’re great with kids. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a community meeting place that has the best Italian comfort food around.
I ordered Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs to go on a Sunday afternoon and was out the door in about 10 minutes. The spaghetti was alright, but of course was not cooked fresh, there was nothing el dente about it. The sauce was a pretty good traditional Italian sauce, very similar to Hunt’s that you can buy at the supermarket. The meatballs had FAR too many herbs in them, they were practically green throughout, and it overpowered the meat entirely. But the worst part by far was the cheese. The Danish Mozzarella (whatever is wrong with Italian cheese for Italian food?) has an extremely sweet taste that lingers forever and reminds me of skim milk that’s been left out and gotten warm. It contrasts badly with the salty tomato sauce and lingers longer even than the overly herby meatballs. I will probably not return to try their pizza, since the sauce and cheese would be the same.
Very nice Pizza place. Enjoyed the food. Pizza was well made, with quality ingredients. Sandwiches were nice too.
