This Japanese restaurant is fantastic! Their sushi is amongst the best, personally I have not had better. Their special roll is a favorite, it is a delicious creation by the head chef. Other favorites include hamachi (yellow tail), maguro (tuna) sake (salmon), tobiko (small fish eggs), and, when it’s available, toro (fatty tuna). For the adventurous, their uni with quail egg and natto are amazing. Additionally they have traditional dishes that are hard to find, e.g. oyaku donburi, and karaage. My reference, I lived near Tokyo for three years where I enjoyed lots of sushi and Japanese dining.
High expectations when we entered and found mostly Asian customers ahead of us. We were not disappointed. Very fresh and very well presented. The server was even thoughtful enough to ask whether we wanted spicy sauce on a nigiri dish. The raw scallops were sweet and the California roll was real crab, not the usual gloppy crab salad.
