Worst Service Yet to Date. Going out to eat is something I partake in more often than I should because I enjoy spending my money on an experience combining social activities with food. With this said, it’s not uncommon for my experience to be lacking due to servers having a bad day, the food coming out cold, uncooked etc, being sat at an awkward table or constant disruptions provided by the patrons who are perhaps either inebriated and/or misbehaved. In lieu of all of this I always can look past these circumstances and see them for what they were and 98% of the time they do not affect whether or not I’ll try the experience at the same place again. My experience at The Alehouse & Eatery though was on a completely different level. A level so low I felt compelled to not only 86 myself from simply walking past their location on the street but to air my misfortune in hopes someone may read this and prevent this from happening again. This is what happened.Myself and two male friends (I am a female) walked in and sat down at a table that was recently occupied and hadn’t been cleared yet as we felt it’d be easier to sit in the busier side of the bar rather than the back of it where no one was seated. This is simply most of the story. We arrived perhaps at least a quarter til 10 knowing the restaurant closed at 11 on a Saturday night and were not greeted, nor even acknowledged. We sat for over 15 minutes at which time 3 different workers passed by us numerous times and made sure to not look at us and essentially ignore us at every chance they could. At one point a female literally refilled water glasses to the 3 tables poised around the circumference of our position and walked swiftly away when we tried to get her attention. We even cleared the table ourselves to ensure there was no confusion as to if we were new or old guests however nothing changed and it was as if we were invisible. At this realization we got up and left, my two friends sorely embarrassed and somewhat wanting to stay in hopes to massage their ego that had just been broken by being made to feel they were worthless to the point of undeserving of a simple nod, but I had no intention at this point of wanting to relinquish any money I don’t have to this company. Never in my life have I felt a feeling so great and so low as this other than when I’ve been discriminated against for either my color, sex or beliefs. At this very moment I still can’t fathom what we did wrong by walking into this bar that day to warrant such volatile behavior. All that I can say is I’m sorry I ever stepped foot into this place and it might take me sometime to shake the nasty feeling of being shunned to that degree to the point where I can forget this horrendous event ever occurred.
