Good cocktails and a solid, but limited eats menu. I always come to just have a beverage but end up ordering some food, as well. It’s pretty small, but there you can sit at the counter or the few tables scattered around. If you don’t get distracted, you can watch the open kitchen. It’s connected to Spinasse so prefuncs are in order here.

The food is often overlooked due to the looming bar in the center of the room – Artusi does a wonderful job at preparing simple, classic Northern Italian dishes at affordable prices. It’s the ultimate, simple bistro where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a couple of plates for under $50. Great if you are dining alone as well. thehungrydogblog.com

I have to admit, I am a sucker for small plates, and well crafted cocktails, so to sit at the bar at Artusi in front of the Bartender mixing with over a dozen different bitters, I am in heaven. The food is very thoughtful, and it is easy to mix a few plates to share for lighter meals, or to course it out to a very filling meal for yourself. If the bean soup, or rabbit in any preparation is on the menu, get it. Absolutely delicious. Just as thoughtful is the cocktails, and a very appropriate wine by the glass selection. The small space, with huge windows on two sides, provides a very fun, if casual, experience. One of my favorite places on The Hill.

Great Happy Hour – excellent service, prices and small plate options. We stopped in here for a round of drinks before our dinner reservation around the corner. What a pleasant surprise! We had the happy hour red wine (I am not a wine expert!) and the Formaggi & Salami della sera. It was the perfect amount of food for the three of us. Our server was very attentive. There wasn’t anyone else there for Happy Hour so the experience might be different during busy or up times. If you can find a quite time here, do so, you won’t be disappointed!

Terrible, just terrible.. The waitress suggested an appetizer which turned out to be a pile of cold, vile tasting eggs sitting on a platter all by itself. The cocktails arrived well after the appetizers and all were visually appealing but flavor-wise were on par with the pile of eggs. Service was VERY slow. Will not be going back.
