I suspect this is a 5 star place, but I was drawn in by the lunch buffet, and I wouldn’t be giving the rest of the menu a fair shot by prematurely 5-starring it; gotta put in some substantial eating before passing full judgement, after all! Going by just the buffet, so far, it’s a wonderful place! Great service, nice setting, sure, but the Butter Chicken? Oh my. I rarely get excited ’bout Butter Chicken because at so many places, it’s simply an unimpressive goopy meh mess, nothing standing out in it, but this! This is, no hyperbole, one of the absolute best Butter Chicken’s I’ve had. I only sampled it because it was there, part of the buffet, but I expected it to be the usual mediocre BC, obligatorily tried once, before moving on to whatever the standout dish was. Nope! This was it! The Aloo Gobhi was delicious, the veggie Goan curry good, the Gulab Jamun sweet and interesting, but the Butter Chicken was just the right balance of tangy and spicy, the sauce not too thin or completely masking the taste of chicken. If you like Butter Chicken, get this. Even if you think you don’t like Butter Chicken, or want to like it, but haven’t been impressed so far, try this!
