If you can’t eat at home this is the next best thing…. For home-baked made from scratch goodness go to Caroline;s Cafe in Dayton. Her baked goods are fantastic and if somethings not right she will make it right. I love Caroline’s, and it’s not just the food it is the sweet spirit of the owner. Going there is like going over a friends house, Caroline has great homemade cinnamon rolls and butter horns with apricots. It is mmm mmm good. Setting that aside, for the moment,, Caroline, between cooking orders and refilling coffee, interacts with her customers, sometimes even sitting down to have a conversation, and share a cup of coffee. I noticed when I was there, she greeted most of her customers by name as they came in. You get a sense that she really cares, even if she just met you. People talk about the gift of hospitality, this woman has it in abundance. So my pick when in Dayton, is Caroline’s, where you not only leave fed you leave feeling that you made a connection, and a new friend. My name is Bob Fairchild and I approved this message.
