Jacks deli and restaurant. The best breakfast and lunch in town. food is hot and fast. home cooking style. a place for local families, the city elect to retired eat. it’s a community meeting place to service people come to eat. Korean own and it’s all American food salad to soup daily. all so good. tell them char and tim sent you.
Good, and Plenty of Retirees…. Little place in an old strip mall that looks like it’s been there for decades. Run by a Korean family, so I’m guessing Jack may be a nickname? No real language barrier, so ordering was no prob. Food was good, standard, not expensive for the location, and well portioned. Lots of happy chatter in the background from guys in VFW hats and London Fog waist coats. Looks like they have cornered the breakfast/lunch crowd in sleepy Des Moines, because there were always a bunch of cars in front when we drove by. I really do like places like this…
The best part of Jack’s is the friendly wait staff. If you’re feeling down in the mornings on Tues, Wed, or Thurs, see Georgia. She’s the best and Jack’s wouldn’t be the same without this gem.
