The Best. One of the best places in town. If you say anything negative you are a hater who doesn’t support local business.

This is a tough place to review. They’ve been around for over thirty years and have legions of fans. They are a local icon. As anyone who reads my other reviews knows that even if they are critical, I generally try to be constructive. There is a lot to like here as well as some room for improvement. I’ll start with the bad. The garlic feta fries need help. There’s feta which is good and garlic is good too. These even appear to be hand cut which is also great. Unfortunately, they were cooked poorly. Undercooked or not rinsed and blanched or something. Crisp up the potatoes and these are perfect. The Greek salad also could use some help. Don’t serve a precut bagged salad. Buy a few different greens and tear them in house and it will make a huge difference. The dressing was simply oil and vinegar and doesn’t scream Greece to me. It could be punched up a bit, too. Now the good. The combination plate I ordered was just excellent. I had never eaten babaganuj I before and was not sure what to expect, frankly I didn’t even know it was eggplant. I generally don’t like eggplant but this may have changed my mind. This was mashed and mixed similar to hummus and nicely garlicky. There was also hummus that was equally as good and garlicky. The meat was lean and tender and the plate includes two pitas for a make your own gyro type thing. There was tatsatsiki and tahini with this as well. Both well done. I might have liked to have additional flavors come through but the predominant chord was garlic. Not a bad thing but the palate profile was narrow. It might be nice to update bith the menu and late 70’s decor a bit as well. Overall I would give this about a 7 of 10 and definitely worth a visit. I could see Robert Irvine or Gordon Ramsay working this place over. Building on some very strong fundamentals they could be world class!! Not incidentally, the service was great. Our waitress (owner?) was very quick and cheerful even while serving all seven or eight tables in the place.

Dirty restaurant, needs a couple of thorough cleanings. The food is decent, but I just can’t get over the filth. Clean your bathrooms, scrub the kitchen, especially since customers can see right into it from the register.

The food is average. I can’t put my finger on the decor other then to say it probably is from the 70’s. The hall to the bathrooms is used to store vacuums. The bath is dark, dirty feeling. The Patio area has cheap metal furniture and doesn’t look like it has been cleaned up all summer. Overall the experience is a poor value for average food.
