Worth a visit!. Ordered chicken and ribs combo. Ribs were nice and tender with a good dry rub, but a little too much BBQ sauce, but no worries, just used my roll to swab them kinda dry and good to go. Fried chicken was fantastic. Best I’ve had since being back home in Alabama. Greens were pretty good and potato salad was unremarkable and not homemade. Maybe go with other sides. Service was very kind and prompt. A great place to stop for good ribs and chicken outside the South.
Loved it! Bob was quite a character. He definitely adds flavor to this local hidden gem.
I was visiting Spokane from Maryland for a week and this was the best food I had the entire trip. Mr. Bob is very friendly and is a great cook! I will definitely stop by every time I am in town.
They Don’t Move Fast in Texas, but They Can Cook!. 1- I want everyone to know that this is delicious, spicy food. The gumbo is fantastic. The chicken is perfect. The pulled pork is not Hawaiian-style Kahlua, but thick strips of yummy.2- Call ahead. Texans aren’t known for moving or talking quickly. The lunch rush can get INSANE (I spent nearly my whole lunch hour waiting for take out) and I’m really not complaining, just giving forewarning. Call ahead for a takeout order.3- For any of these posters who are dissatisfied with the owner’s attitude… you’ve never been to Texas before, have you?
Good BBQ. Came into town on business and was staying nearby, googled BBQ restaurants and this one popped up. I had the chicken and ribs combo. The ribs were pretty good. They had a little too much sauce for my taste since I like my ribs pretty dry. The fried chicken was excellent. The sides (gumbo and red beans and rice) were very good as well. I highly recommend Chicken-N-Mo. The food and service were excellent.
Delicious southern comfort food! Best fried chicken I’ve had since Texas. My favorite sides are the pasta salad and fries. Great service.
Chkn-n-mo, for the northwest this will be the best fried chicken you can find until you at least hit Texas or Tennessee. So I give them 2 thumbs up. I have to say one thing though because this has happened with people that I took to eat there- Order the fried chicken the chilli the catfish the jojo’s, but please understand just because a soulfood restaraunt serves BBQ doesn’t mean that you should judge them for their BBQ. It is not the best, people please remember when you go to a Mexican restaraunt and order a burger it’s not going to be great because its a Mexican place not a burger joint! I have gone to a bunch of the most famous BBQ places in America and none are within a 1,000 mile radius. If you want the worlds best BBQ go to rendezvous in Memphis TN. Chikn n mo is a fried chicken place not a BBQ place.
