Total Win…. Okay, this is really more a fusion of hipster coffee house that serves deli, with Vietnamese-style Bahn Mi sammies as the main culinary focus. It works. Totally. Thankfully, for my middle-aged self, my son and I were there early, so my regular guy, unshaved persona didn’t have to fit in with the hipster crowd, but that’s just a byproduct of liking to eat lunch before the rush of Spokane hungry folk. We ordered four Bahn Mi; all were well prepared and stunningly affordable. It’s all about the bread, and these guys get a high quality baguette from a source in Seattle. They can keep that going, because they were perfectly crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, but firm enough to stand up to large dudes man-handling them. And having sriracha on demand was well appreciated. It’s very clean and comfortable inside, and the owners are good fellas, who have a practical vision of what they are bringing to the food scene here in our metro. $3.25 for any good-sized Bahn Mi on the menu? Holy crap, make me another…!
