We had a good experience at the Elk! I had the falafel pita with the house made pasta salad. It was very large and quite tasty. My partner had the Gouda chicken which was also a good sized portion and he really enjoyed it. The beer selection is also quite extensive. Unfortunately, we were unaware of how early restaurants close in the area and I would have liked to have one more beer before our bill was brought to us at 9pm on a Saturday night. Otherwise, the service was friendly and efficient.
The food was great. I had the marinated pork tacos with house made pineapple/mango chutney. I also had a cup of the chicken Verde soup which was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Just the right amount of spice and just a hint of heat. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Reasonably priced as well.

I so wanted to like this place. I just moved down to Browne’s Addition and have enjoyed trying all the neighborhood restaurants- with one very notable exception- this place. When we were finally graced with a server who’s so called service was mostly consisted of ignoring us even though the place was basically empty we were treated to some food that is best described a extremely forgettable. And the drinks- $6 for a beer? Really? I think whoever is in charge of this place is a little confused- this is not New York or Seattle…this is Spokane. And for Spokane, their prices are simply ridiculous. The fact that we got more service from the bartender than from our waitress…that’s just ridiculous anywhere. I honestly don’t know how a place this bad can still be open.
Rude waitress and bla so so food. I won’t be back. The only time I’ve expirenced such bad service was at a Perkins years ago. They weren’t busy and I was ignored to the point where I had to go to the bar to get a drink. The servers act like they are too good to serve people. The environment is neat but that is it and there are a lot of places with nice environments that don’t treat customers like that in Spokane
Great food and service. Five of us ate here on 2/8/15. While we were waiting for the 3 to show up our waitress was very attentive. I had the gumbo and spinach salad and my husband had the Ruben. We both thought the food was great, as did our companions. Be aware that the gumbo is very spicy/hot. I loved it.We would all come here again. Small pub atmosphere.
Terrible Service. My friend and I waited for our food for an hour and a half and didn’t even get to eat it there when it was finally ready. Our babies were too fussy from waiting so long for us to stay and eat; we had to take the meals (two salads) home. There’s no reason it should take 1 1/2 hours to get salads to us. When I tried to call and talk to a manager when I got home, I was told that there was no manager on duty; she wouldn’t be in until the next day. Is that why service here is so bad? Do they have absolutely no supervision or accountability? I also checked their website to contact the owners, but there is no way to contact them at all. I will never go here again.
