Special Niche. Zip in and have a fine Asian meal and put your spirits up. Have eaten here two times with friends and enjoyed both experiences. No matter how full the bistro the food seems to arrive timely and because the space is tight the servers can’t miss you and what you need. Staggering variety of sushi; seemed very fresh. The Chinese style sauces on the beef and chicken rice dishes were velvety the way they are supposed to be. Great value on food and decent wine list, a little high on the wine prices but good selection.
I have eaten at Ginger at least 40 times in the 4 years it’s been open. The past year has been disappointing And apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so as we tried it again on a Saturday night and were the only people there! Wine pour was skimpy and the service was blah. The fish was really mediocre with little thought put into presentation. The sashimi deluxe used to be a variety of beautiful fish, artfully presented. Tonight it was an uninspired mess. I won’t be back and it seems like a lot of other people feel the same. See ya Ginger! Wish you could return to your heyday!
This place makes the best sushi in town! So fresh! The calamari is cooked perfect every time and the sauce that goes with it makes my my mouth dance! Their Mongolian Beef is the best I have ever had!
Excellent Pan Asian food. Gingers prices arent cheap. My boss invited the office out to celebrate: Office Administration Professionals Day, a co-workers birthday and work anniversary of a coworker. To alleviate some of the sticker shock, he took us out to Gingers happy hour, which is daily 3-5 PM. There were a lot of delicious and reasonably priced small plates. Ginger is a pan Asian bistro. Everything we tasted was delicious. And our server did an excellent job accommodating our ever changing order of small plates. Ginger is the best pan Asian food Ive tasted in Spokane, thus far. To save money, my husband and I will be back, on weekends, for happy hour food deals.
Fabulous food. The best Asian in town. Great lunch and happy hour specials.
Small but pretty cute little place. Very cold next to the windows, but a nice interior. We both tried a lunch box. The California role was excellent. Really filled with crab. The rice was sticky, like it should be. The veggies were warm and flavorful. My husband had the teriyaki chicken, which was quite good. Could have been a little more tender, but not bad at all. I made a mistake in ordering. I had the yellowtail collar lunchbox and the yellowtail fish was just creepy. The collar is a cut of the fish with a fin still on it and lots of cartiledge. It looked like some kind of big bird wing and was pretty gross. There was very little fish meat and it didn’t taste great. But I liked everything else in the box. Just won’t order that again. The hot tea was delicious. They have a full sushi bar and we saw several Chinese dishes being served next to us. The bill was only $29 for both of us including tax.
We had a large party at Ginger, & sampled many items off the menu. Not one was disappointing! Cool atmosphere & gracious hosts combined with the delicious food made our evening out with friends a night to remember.
