BOMB ASS FOOD. Best grilled chicken sandwich EVER
Family owned, great healthy food!. Hands-down the best lean burger in Spokane. I hate greasy burgers and they always cook theirs to perfection and have fresh burger buns every day. I’ve been eating here since I was 12, and I still go almost every week. The family and employees there know us and always greet us and ask how we’re doing. I just love the environment. Their burgers are phenomenal and the homemade skinny french fries are great (although I still miss the homemade steak fries and wish they had the option to choose which ones you want… I hope they read this. lol) OH, and the ice cream/milk shakes are homemade too. Yum. -My fall seasonal favorite that runs out fast: pumpkin pie. 😉
Omg!. My goodness, i wpuld always pass this place on my way to dance class when I was younger, I never knew it waa a restaurant! by thr looks of it they have shakes to die for! Definitely will be visiting here this summer!
1950s in a good way. Ya gotta stop here if you’re in the neighborhood, if just for the shakes. The burgers are small, but a double is perfect for an old fat guy like me. They’re the 1950s flat griddle variety, but tasty on a good bun. The service is remarkable, quick and friendly. Their daily combo special (burger, side order, shake) is not cheap, so the cheap eats folks won’t like it ($8.99), but the fries make it worthwhile. Crispy, just browning on the outside and soft a moist inside. My favorite kind, and you have to wait for them to cool, they’re that fresh. The place stays packed so come a little after the rush and they’ll be happy to see you. Great ice cream fountain service too.
Cheers and Jeers. Following the Inlander format; I’d like to give both cheers and jeers to The Milk Bottle:Cheers1. Thank you for refurbishing a Spokane landmark after a devastating fire. The interior is beautiful.2. Your ice cream ROCKS!Jeers1. The food – While not terrible, is quite mediocre. My potato salad tasted right out of a grocery store deli (Safeway’s various potato salads are far more tasty). My sandwich also was close to flavorless. My tuna melt wasn’t greasy but (oddly enough) it didn’t set well with me. 2. The spotty service – It was a Friday and busy. However, it’s not that big of a place and there were two servers. We had to ask to for my lemonade to be delivered and we had to ask to take off the dish of ice cream that never arrived at our table. It put me off to be given a bill before server checked the table to make sure everything is ok.3. Overpriced food – When you pay nearly $8.00 for a tuna melt and a scoop of (what tastes like) Reser’s potato salad; it’s overpriced. My tip is that if you dine at Milk Bottle Restaurant, go for the ice cream treats and eat your meal (beforehand) somewhere else. I tasted my husband’s rootbeer shake and it was yummy! The establishment got a like vote from me mostly because they saved a Spokane landmark. The Garland District is in desperate need of a great, reasonably priced date night restaurant like Cafe Italiano.
Tasty!. This place is great. The hamburger buns are made in house. Awesome milk shakes.
MADE FROM SCRATCH!. Buns and rolls made fresh, Hamburger patties made by hand, ice cream crafted locally! The retro cool building aside, this cafe/parlor is one of our favs and we try to visit monthly. The Shakes are always more than enough, and perfect for sharing. CREAMY ice cream and the fries are cut and cooked right there! NO fillers or crap. Just perfectly GOOD food. =)
