For those too cheap to pay for excellent fare, stay away.. I take shots for my frank culinary appraisals; it’s not often have a truly fine dining experience. Such is life in Spokane’s culinary wasteland. However, I ate at the Palm Grill for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is sublime, music just right, and the French onion soup was as good as it gets…unless you’re eating at my house. Friends I was with had the corned beef hash, also excellent and presented beautifully! I used to say the Wild Sage was as good as it gets in Spokane, but they’ve been dethroned. The Palm is pricey but worth it. Our waiter, Derek, was personable, well-trained, and gave superior service. Highly recommend! My only complaint is the soup had far too much cheese…otherwise, the brunch was perfect.

It Depends. I’ve waited a long while to write this review. I’ve eaten at the Palm Court maybe 20 times and still can’t make up my mind. I mean I love the food, but the service is so hit or miss that it ranges from superb to totally inept. We had lunch today and the steamer clams and mussels were possibly the tastiest dish I’ve eaten this year. The prime rib dip sandwich is just awesome. Their fries are the best in town and the setting just makes you feel special. So today, our lunch was incomparable. But you never know for sure… Service was great but the hostess was missing in action when we arrived… WTH?I’ll keep going back, but this is one place where I have no problem telling the manager to get our table a different server. Maybe that’s what it takes. I’ve done that twice now and it’s turned it right around. Unlike the Manito Tap House, where nothing seems to work to improve the service.

Surprised at our disappointment. We had Christmas eve dinner at the Safari Room in the towers and it was superb, so we though this weekend we would try out the Palm Court grill. We have never had such a terrible meal in all our years in Spokane. It was Saturday night – the biggest night of the weekend and the lettuce was soggy and turning brown, the brad for the French dip was hard as a rock , the pound of steamed clams was a pound of shells with maybe 18 of the tiniest clams ever seen. And the prices where way to high for the food we received. Never again.

For the record. I’m neutral on this joint, but contrary to many of the negative reviews, our service was stellar, I mean way better than average. Had halibut fish & chips. Their fries rule. Portion was very generous. Fish has a funky, non-crunchy batter that I’m not fond of, but it’s a minor thing.

Dissapointing. Way over priced and the food isn’t anything special. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good as the price made you think it should be. The service was slow and never quite got on track. Just ok. We can say we tried it, but wont be going back. Also not much to the menu, would like a little more selection, drinks were ok, but also nothing special. I have had better steaks and better drinks for a fraction of the price we paid here at other places.

Wonderful place to spend your money and have dinner. The staff is always great, very attentive and polite. Also very informative about the menu. The food thus far is always wonderful. Not a child recommended place, it’s a quiet, dim light, intimate feeling. Really get what you pay for and again the staff was wonderful.

Wonderful food and ambience. Stopped in for lunch last week and had the Idaho trout. It was delectable and served with jasmine rice, brocolini perfectly cooked, and a large slice of grilled heirloom tomato. Yum, yum. and of course the atmosphere was beautiful in the lobby where I like to eat. Price $15 without a drink and with tax.
