Interesting, but not going again. The food is wooden, literally. There is no flavor in any of the products I or my friends purchased. The coffee was very good, however. The girls serving were friendly enough but not really interested in what was going on around them. The decor is okay, but very dirty…tables, floors, and even a funky smell in the air. Believe me, no one likes eating poor quality food in dirty surroundings. Not even the great coffee could induce me to go back. Rocket could really be a cozy, neighborhood gathering place. What will the owners do?
This is always my first choice. Best lox and bagels I’ve ever had. The fact they even HAVE lox and bagels is huge. And the beer selection sure is fun. Working nights, my boyfriend and I love to come here after our shifts and enjoy some awesome food and a beer in such a casual and fun atmosphere. We are forever regulars.
Really good bagel. Light, crispy crust and tender inside. Cool ambiance in an old industrial building.
Best bagels in town! Great coffee, great service, and excellent atmosphere. My favorite place to be on a Saturday morning!
Amazing Food, worst service in town!. I am a regular at rocket bakery because the food is amazing and its located near my house, but the service is by far the worst in town. Its not really the pace of the staff that gets me, because i dont mind waiting, its the attitude of all of them. Its like you are bothering them when ordering. No one smiles, says thank you or is even remotely friendly. Doesnt matter if i tip, be overly friendly or just quickly order and sit. The short brunette is by far the worst. I actually will try to wait to have someone take my order instead of dealing with her. So go for the food but be aware of the crappy service.
Don’t bash unless you know!. As a regular customer, here are some things I have noticed that I think you should realize before you complain about the service here…1: new people are hired all the time, just like any other food service place. if you had bad service before, you probably won’t again. 2: Next time you think service is slow actually watch what is happening…a working may be trying to make five sandwiches and salads with every customer in the store asking them for various items that are placed in plain sight for them to grab themselves, or asking you every ingredient in every salad, when the tags clearly list them…they can’t ignore them, or it’s bad service, but being slowed down by it is bad service also… And watch the barista making the coffee…they are not rushing so that you will you actually get a good latte (and remember on a busy weekend, your order is probably 7th in line, and the 4 minutes you wait is not that bad)3: You may have noticed that the appliances there are old as hell. Idk if that is a reason, but it seems like it would suck.I may be biased, I have worked in food before but the food and coffee are great, so try to put yourself in their shoes before you complain!
Fantastic food, not so fantastic service. I love the Rocket Bakery food and coffee (pastries and bagels are all delicious and fresh) but the service is less than impressive. Make sure to leave ample time if you are craving Rocket, employees typically move at a snail’s pace. The most interesting experience I had was witnessing an employee sitting on the counter (plainly in view of customers) just munching on a sandwich. Not quite the professional standards I’m sure the owners strive for…
