I have been to any hibachi restaurants all over the US. Shogun is by far the worst! The prices are pretty step and the portions are extremely small! Usually at a hibachi place, the cook puts on an awesome display. That is not the case here. The cook was so boring. I will not be back. This place is in a rough looking part of town. Will not be back.
Don’t plan on returning. As posted previously Shogun has changed their menu portions and pricing, charging for items that used to be included with your meal, and decreasing the portions sizes themselves. We have always enjoyed Shogun, and didn’t mind the inflated price of the meals due to the atmosphere and entertainment value of the evening, given these changes however, it is no longer worth the price. My grandson will be very disappointed, but he will have to find a new place to dine for his birthday.

Now $3 more to any entre for fried rice or noodle. Come on for years that was included. And to have them sing happy birthday to my families they want a surcharge. .. to sing? Really? So sad that this place has to loose customers cause they want to nickel and dime everything. Be prepared to be charged automatic gratuity no matter what party size. I get the reason behind it to not stiff servers but doing that doesn’t mean we should get blah server that shows up once in awhile. You’ve changed for 2015 and not for the better
Watch your bill and the order. Decent food, fun. But our waitress messed up our order so bad, that we got charged for stuff we didn’t order. We just wanted fish for the 2 kids under age 5. We were sold full adult portions and adult costs. Waitress told our 10 year old to order off the adult menu or she wouldn’t get enough to eat. She took 80% of the meal home with her. We ordered one meal to go. They cooked 3 meals of fried rice and not our to go order, then said we ordered it. My order was the Hibatchi steak and shrimp. She wrote that down wrong, so they served me the expensive steak/shrimp dish which was about $10 more. Bottom line, 3 adults, 3 kids under 10 and bill was over $275 ! We won’t ever go back again.
People great veggies were good But the cook used wayyyyyyy to much salt!!!
Totally awesome experience. Been there twice this year, so far. My kids love the show and food. I am not found of the MSG as it does a trip on my insides, but the food, show, and ambiance, is terrific. will be going back for years to come.
To add to my previous comment, I have to say the staff was great. It was the only enjoyable part of our dinner30 Apr, 2013Expensive! For teriyaki chicken, it is $18! Then they charge an extra hidden fee of $2.50 for the rice that goes with it! Also, the amount of salt they cook with is incredibly disturbing! If you’re not worried about how much salt you intake, and you don’t mind paying $21 for an average hibachi chicken meal, go for it!
