Really Good Experience. Got the last table late on a Saturday night. My wife had the Halibut and Chips and I had the Steelhead Filet. The salmon was so fresh and cooked perfectly. My wife really enjoyed the halibut and she rarely eats fish. It was nicely breaded and the fries and coleslaw were very good. The service was good and the staff very friendly. The interior is warm and comfortable.
Too much Bar not enough grille. The entres were all excellent. The service was sub-par. The atmosphere was incredibly noisy. This is not a place to bring the family. Left very disappointed.
IT USE TO have the best happy hour in town but not any more. They raised their prices and scaled it way back! Disappointing, guess the new management is money hungry!
Oh, man… I love this place. I eat here one to two times a week, and that’s not because I work next door. This place has all the things you’d expect in a bar and grill but with actual quality, homemade recipes. Awesome soups from scratch made daily! I love the buffalow chicken sandwich and I don’t usually like blue cheese.Their chicken Cesar salad is top notch.Downtown linguini is rich and comforting- they make the sauce specially for your dish each time. I love it with all three meats they offer. The creole shrimp is delicious – have it over linguini for a dinner instead of an appetizer! Servers are all superb! …and hot. 😉
Steelhead happy hour. The food was great and drinks too but watch your bill. The drinks and appetizers on happy hour menus prices were more on the tab and when I asked the waiter he said that the prices went up on certain items. A little bit of a bait and switch.
Overall good, food lacking.. I have a lot to say about this place but if you don’t want to read the details then I’ll say average food, perhaps not worth the price, drink selection is good, excellent service, and an outstanding atmosphere. The food: for a starter we got the smoked salmon artichoke dip and it was ok. There was barely any salmon and no artichokes that I could taste and I think the base was cream cheese only. It was way too rich to finish. For dinner we had the special which was a BLT with salmon and the fletcher’s burger. The BLT was disappointing because the salmon didn’t taste fresh and the flavor was kinda lacking. The Fletcher’s burger was on a ciabatta that I’m fairly certain came from Costco, which is fine but the burger was ordered medium rare and came out well done. The jalepenos probably came from a can… it was good enough I guess. Overall the food was average and nothing bad, but it isn’t worth the price. Also, if you are a healthy eater I wouldn’t go here for food. The reason why I really like SBG is because they have a good drink menu with plenty of good beers to choose from and a good spirit and wine selection to match. A pint of beer is around 6 bucks… this isn’t NYC, it’s Spokane! Don’t they know how cheap we are!? The service was very courteous, friendly and prompt and I’m not one to compliment service very often. The best part about Steelhead is that decor and atmosphere is among the best in Spokane. Maybe even the best! I will definitely go back, probly at happy hour 🙂
Great drink menu and great selection. Food is decent. Service is above average
