Kabob House, as one could guess from the name, a Mediterranean food place here in Spokane and one of the few that are here.Located right on one of the main streets, the restaurant in itself is quite spacious and tidy .. but the decor might feel a bit boring .. but hey !! that is Middle East 😉 .. he he .. just a joke don’t take offense :)Food wise, they have their game sorted .. it might not be the best of the best but whatever I have had till date has been good. The very last time we were here, it was a Falafel and a Chicken Shawarma Dinner plus their special Lentil’s Soup with pita. The falafel dinner was better than the chicken one, if I have to compare .. more flavours in the falafel than the chicken, but the lentils soup for $2.50 was awesome. We entered just on the verge of their closing time, sorry for that but the girl serving us was still at her best. All in all, I haven’t found anything yet to complain about .. have had a couple of visits .. but then I am still to eat my share of their sandwiches 😀 .. next time for sure .. will update. 🙂
2 stars because the first 2 times were very good, today not so much. My wife and I got the lamb kabobs and ordered them to be cooked medium. When we got them, they were well done, almost way over done. Most of the rice was also pretty hard, seemingly old. I was able to get through eating my plate, mostly because I was very hungry, but my wife was only able to eat a few bites before stopping. They also didn’t cook the peppers like they usually do. It was just added to the salad, not even on the kabob stick. I thought that was very strange.Sad to find out the consistency isn’t there. Hope they can figure it out
Easily my favorite place to get Mediterranean food. Everything I have tried here is fantastic. Although sometimes it can be a little slow, the food is always worth the wait!
Tabouli is the perfect starter to your meal here. Gyro sandwich for entree. Great service from the staff. Busy at lunch and worth the money.
I heard there was a new place on Ruby called the Kabob House so I had to try it. I love Mediterranean food. I was not disappointed. I had the Chick Shawarma with Greek Fries. It was delicious and filling. The restaurant is kid friendly. As far as I can tell they do not serve alcohol. It is clean and the staff is very friendly. They offer delivery so be sure to grab a menu to take back to work. I will be sure to come back.
People we nice… Hummas needed more lemon and garlic and the tahbulli needed to be finer but taated great… We have been to many meditarainian restaurants and glad to have one close to our house… Backava was good buy not made in house… Good food nice people
This place is a welcomed addition to the Spokane area. All sides and apps were very well prepared, but more importantly, their meats were outstanding. Shish beef was nicely marinated, lean, and perfectly cooked. Gyro meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and shaved right off the rotisserie spool as it always should be. And the taste of fresh ground lamb in the Mousaka cut through it’s subtle spices nicely. They’ve expanded from their original location in Yakima, WA, and I would not be surprised to see them continue East into the panhandle of Northern Idaho and Western Montana; food scenes that would definitely benefit from this cuisine. Portions are generous, and prices are very fair. My little gals go bonkers for gyros, so it’s a lock that they will insist on returning to the Kabob House. I will not mind one little bit…
