Bad way to end the night. We heard this place was nice so we gave it a try. We got there, $5 cover, which is usually a red flag. The place was moderately crowded but had quite a few open seats. Although, we quickly found out they were all reserved. When the waitress told us we were in a reserved area, our mistake, she was rude. We asked where we could go, other than standing in the middle of the floor right in front of the live band and she said she didnt know, very helpful! We finished our drinks pretty fast and went across to Saranac Public House, much better experience.

The food is decent I’ll give it that. If you aren’t part of the hipster crowd or a friend of the bartender good luck at getting service.

FUN FUN FUN. We are not exactly the young night club type, but we always enjoy our stops at Zolas. The light kitchen menu is good but not especially food-allergin friendly so be careful. However, the mixologists are all talented and the veriety of live music is invigorating. So whether you want to make a long evening of it or just a couple of hours, you will feel comfortable and welcomed. There is always a great cross-mix of patrons which just goes to show the great flexibility in the purposeful execution of Zola’s demographic target goals. Our only complaint is that the music is generally good so it should not be played sooooooooo LOUD. We are not that old, most certainly not deaf and still like to be able to visit while out for an evening.

Extremely Rude!!. Would never go here again!! I was from out of town and the bartender didn’t know how to check an ID that wasn’t from Washington. She gave it to someone who was sitting at the bar (who didn’t say she was the GM until I asked a few times). The GM, who was also drinking alcohol at the bar btw, then called someone on her personal cell phone and gave them my license information!! When I tried asking what was going on, she gave me attitude, told me to shut up and wouldn’t give my ID back. When I addressed her attitude, she told me I didn’t know anything. Super rude!!!I later found out that the GM isn’t the GM at all … wasn’t even an employee …

    Great food, but under-staffed.
