A value for money India buffet. At 11.99 a person, India gate has buffet for lunch from Mon – Saturday, with a decent spread. Their spread is not too elaborate but covers most of the items you would expect in an Indian buffet in both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. To top it up , they provide Chai ( Tea with Milk) and a Softie cone (Something like a DQ Blizzard) of your choice you can take from the machine which is also part of their Buffet. Coming to the taste, average to good, covers all the basics well. The buffet was only with Chicken items ( do not expect a spread like Fish/ mutton) but, with Tandorri chicken, Chicken karahi , Butter chicken & Chicken curry they had 4 items on the non vegetarian items. Aloo mutter, paneer butter masala, mushroom masala & Daal to cover the veg- sides.They also provid some salads, rice, naan-bread & vegetable biriyani. So all basics well covered in the spread at a good price point. Jilebi & Rice kheer to top it up.They serve ala carte during evening dinner, and most of the standard items from the Punjabi & Tandoori items are well covered and that is what they do a great job and they do not provide any south Indian cuisine options on the menu. Overall a good place to try out in the Bellevue area.
