Awesome Bnh mi. I wasn’t crazy about the gi cun, which were very basic — a few shrimp, mostly vermicelli and lettuce, no herbs or veggies– but found the banh mi to be absolutely worth my 30-minute trip over to Factoria. At $4.00 per sandwich, these gems cost more than most available in Seattle’s Int’l District, but they are larger and chock-full of fixings. I had the grilled pork – superb flavor; succulent, finely chopped bits of grilled pork; crispy, tangy carrots and cukes; cilantro, fresh jalapenos and the secret sauce. Utterly divine. I added a touch of chili-garlic and hoisin sauce, and I was in banh mi heaven. I have to go back, right NOW. Note: Limited seating, plan on taking yours to go, or sit right down at one of the eight or so wooden stools at the little lunch counters.
Good flavors. The banh mi was a little soggy, but the meat was very flavorful. i would probably not order the sandwiches anymore and stick with the rice or noodle dishes.
