Not female or lunch hour friendly. I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times and today I finally walked out. I will not go back. Each time I go to this restaurant during business lunch hours they are rude to myself, my female colleagues, overlook and speak down to other women lunch parties; but treat the male parties before the women, and talk to them with respect. I have been left sitting for 15 minutes to have my order taken; sometimes longer; when it comes to 1 hour lunch breaks this is a killer. I’ve had to ask on multiple occasions for someone to please take our order and yet they still make us wait and clear tables instead.
Good variety. We go here often as it is near our house. Its great for meat eaters and vegetarianas. There are a variety of dishes Vietnamese with some Thai influence. We have taken a lot of friends and family here and all have enjoyed it.
Really Good. I have ordered the General’s Chicken here twice and it is very good! You can get it as a lunch special, with white or brown rice. Yes, they don’t charge extra for brown rice and they shouldn’t. You don’t pay more for brown rice at the grocery store so why should you at a teriyaki place? The veggies in the General’s Chicken were cooked perfectly as well. The waitstaff were very prompt and polite. They make it easy to keep coming back.
Great food, lots of vegetarian choices. Square lotus has a separate extensive vegetarian section on their menu. Our favorite is the Lemongrass Noodle Bowl, with tofu or veggie chicken, ordered extra spicy. Also excellent Pho, with several veggie variations.

An Absolute Gem. We went here to do a photoshoot for yubit and once that finished Hai the owner came to us and asked if we wanted to eat with him. We were touched by this gesture and sat down with him. He then explained to us exactly how the food should be eaten. The summer rolls come with peanut sauce but Hai added some chilli paste to it and we did likewise. Yumm! Next up were the vegan Vietnamese crepes. Again Hai showed us the right way to eat them – we had to cut the crepes and then wrap them in the lettuce leaf and eat. I would have never known that otherwise. Hai then said we should try the eggplant and mushrooms – we were supposed to have them with rice but I just had them by themselves. Heavenly! And then we had the sticky rice with Mango which was also very good. All these recipes are created by Hai’s mother. Delicious! But even more than that the people are so warm and genuine. An absolute gem!!
