My husband and I met my brother and his wife for dinner at your restaurant last night. My brother has severe allergies that make it almost impossible for him to dine out. After asking a couple questions the waitress had the chef come out to our table. My brother started to say he was fine just having a drink while we ate but the chef went absolutely above and beyond even saying he would happily scrub a couple pans himself to make sure it was safe. Instead of asking what he couldn’t have, he asked my brother what he wanted and exactly how he needed it prepared and did it with a smile. This was an amazing experience. I cannot thank you enough. We were able to all have a wonderful dinner together and then found out that we couldn’t even tip them. Everything was being donated to the firefighters!!! We were shocked to have received that level of service already but to know they did it all knowing that they would be donating their tips?!?! WE WILL BE BACK AND WE WILL TELL OTHERS!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!
The waitress was super friendly but my wife and I thought the food was pretty lacking. My ribs were cold and incredibly chewy, I think I would have had an easier time chewing the skin off of my heel. My wife had the Hawaiian burger and she didn’t think it was very good either (she took 95% of it home only to be thrown away). Anyways, they comped the ribs which was nice but I don’t think we’ll be back for the food, maybe we’ll stop by for a beer though, as the service was great.
Good place, but hospitality ruins it.. Such potential yet such poor service. I have gone to this bar several times and its a nice environment, good food and ok beers. Only problem is the service. The main bartender is extremely rude and looks angry every time I go in. Along with poor service the staff makes you feel unwelcome when they start cleaning the bar and stacking chairs at 9pm, even on $1 beer night. I would totally understand this if their were only a few people there, but when there is 20+ people it does not make sense. It’s hard to make it in north Spokane and if you have crummy service and are kicking your guests out because you want to go home you aren’t going to last.
Good pub food. My garlic shrimp and chicken was tasty. It was good. It wasn’t stellar. But I can honestly say that it’s better than the average pub fare in Spokane.My husband had fish and chips and enjoyed his ale. Our server was sweet. We will be back.
Poole’s is awesome! It’s a great place with excellent casual dining and top notch service. The hubs and I have made Poole’s our new Friday Date Night spot! What a great addition to north side.
Great Place. We have been to Poole’s Public House many times since they have opened and have always had a positive, friendly experience. The wait staff are friendly, prompt and professional in their interaction with patrons. The owner and his wife are very involved in the day to day operation of the restaurant and it shows. An extremely clean and a well run operation. The menu is extensive and all burgers can be subsituted for a vegetarian or chicken breast option. Something you do not see in most restaurants. The drinks and menu options are fairly priced and the steak and bake special on Monday is great as is Taco Tuesday. For those Sport Fans there are many TV’s available throughout the bar for whatever game you are interested in. The place is family friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Overall a great place to meet friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere. Free popcorn too !
Poole’s RULES!!!. Poole’s Public House has awesome & delicious food!!! The menu has something for anyone. The Reuben and Patty Melt are the best in town!! The burgers are huge & delicious!! Liza’s Legs are just YUM!! The service is prompt, friendly & helpful!!! The atmosphere is very enjoyable! Great place to watch any sporting event with a view to many of the TV’s. We will be back many more times!!!
