Vegetarian Friendly. This place has solid (though not outstanding) pan-Asian food. They specialize in Vietnamese food, especially pho. There’s an entire Vegetarian section of the menu, which pretty much lists the same dishes found elsewhere on the menu, but with tofu or fake meats. The staff are friendly. It’s a brother and sister, who are children of the owners. The food comes out quick, which makes this a great lunch spot for people who work in the neighborhood.
The first reason to go hear is it’s affordable. Don’t come here for Pho because you’re wasting your time. Come here for the Sate (pronounced Satay, but not the Malay dish) Soup, or for the Bunh dishes.
The Pho is a No Go. Being a Pho addict I feel compelled to try it almost everywhere. If you’re really into Pho, this is a place you can skip. Truthfully, mine wasn’t great. There is a nice variety of other stuff which I think is better, and it’s all really cheap. The place has a homey atmosphere and the people are nice, but if it’s Pho you crave, head to Jackson St and 12th ave you’ve got your pick.
On the wire. The servers are so nice and welcoming but the food is just okay. I keep trying different things to see if there is anything great, but havent run into anything yet. kinda bland but the only place to really get chinese food around the hill
Fast and Hot. I Love this place. It’s all business. You go in, you order, your preferred utensils are waiting for you at the table, the food comes fast and hot.The veggies are crunchy, the beer is cold and the chicken parts are not scary looking.Ten bucks gets you in and out in less than 30 minutes with a happy warm belly.
It’s ok. It’s close and cheap, and they have brown rice, but the food is just ok.
