I’ve been wanting to go to Bimbos Cantina for a while now. Over the course of time walking up and down Pike the decor for the place caught my eye and I really wanted to make a point to come here.Well it finally happened! Lol! The atmosphere inside is as fun and as quirky as it appeared out on the sidewalk! Lol! Steve and I ducked in here for a small snack. We got a small version of the Bimbos Nachos which were solid. I also got their house Margarita which was enjoyable as well. Service is okay. Kind of so so. Quite a few of the tables were not clean yet new customers seated themselves there anyway and the placing our order and getting our order were a bit slow but it looked like there was only one waitress here. Perhaps there was only one because the restaurant wasn’t all that big? I’m not too sure. Anyway the experience here was enjoyable enough and worth considering a return to.

I did…to bad employees are right when they are rude to customers. Hi Jeff Ofelt,I went to Bimbos the other night. I use to go here years ago with my partner almost every other night for a few years and I have never had a problem. Well the other night I did. Your employee whom I remember from years ago was working pretty much alone at the earlier part of the night gave me problems which I know was on the level of discriminating. I don’t throw that word around much unless I feel it is factual. I forgot his name but it’s not hard to find out. He has blonde hair. He never was over friendly like the other guys but he did serve and I had never had complaints about him years ago. On the other hand my partner said sometimes he came off a little rude but I wasn’t someone to judge and I would just move on and enjoy myself but that night I tried but ended up leaving after one drink. Your bartender took my $20 and told me my bill was $15.50. He paused at the register then closed it then turned around. I said you said $15.50 where is my change? He fanned me off, told me to move because he had money to make! The change wasn’t the problem it was his attitude because after this he opens the register and puts 50 cents on the counter. I repeated it then I said I want my money. He went to the and got my money because a crowd was forming and a few people could hear the conversation. Others were behind talking, having fun and waiting thier turn. I asked him did he thing he would not get a tip? I couldn’t believe this! How did he know I didn’t need the change and would have given him a $5? BTW he did not hold on to a white couple money that he served ahead of me! They left him a $2 tip. What he took from me would have been a 29% tip which is higher than super! I asked him if it was because I was black and he said yes it’s because you’re black. I said only in America and went to my table where my partner was. She did not enjoy herself because I didn’t feel much like talking after the incident. She told me people behind me that couldn’t hear probably think I was the one wrong because I’m black and they didn’t know what was going on. It’s ashame she’s probably right but they did see him give me money back. I enjoy your establishments but now I’m not sure it I can be waited on your bartender without thinking he may cause me a problem or do something to my food. I hope this is not overlooked and he will be spoken to about this incident. It was Friday night around 10:00. There were witnesses and I’m sure there are cameras. Thank you,Marlene
