Friendly service, just got Banh Mi, pork. Was not pleased. Bun was not crispy like it’s supposed to be, balance of meat to veg poor (not enough veg) and the meat was chewy and cold
Great pho and rice noodle bowls. I often eat lunch here, and I love their pho and their rice noodle bowls. I particularly like the pork chop rice noodle bowl…they actually serve the grilled pork chops on the bone, which I think makes them tastier (though a bit harder to eat) than cut-up meat. A lot of my co-workers like the banh mi here, but after trying them once, I decided I will stick with Seattle Deli for their absolutely perfect $2.50 sandwiches, and only order the pho or rice noodle bowls here.
Fast Hot Pho. When you have a cold, nothing feels better than a bowl of Pho. Ask for half the usual noodles, they put too many. Veggie is best. Don’t recommend shrimp pho
Lunch special. For $7 flat I got a bigger than expected tofu bahn mi and about normal sized chicken salad roll. The sandwich was quite good and well-filled and available for under $5 by itself. The spring roll was decent. Is this great? No. The ID will be cheaper and probably tastier, but for a downtown location this is quite a bit of food for a good price.
Ok for what it is. I haven’t yet found any pho downtown that I like. Pho Ha in ID is cheaper but dirty and stingy on the meat. The broth at Cafe Pho has a hearty meaty flavor but is a bit salty and lacks the herbal flavors of truly good Pho broth. Meat portion size was decent. My bowl of Pho Tai Nam set me back about $7.50.I’ll go back when I am working in the area and get the craving for Pho.
Faux pho . . .. Disappointing. Most neighborhood pho shops are way, way better than this. Not good, not cheap; but fast and hot.
Pho at Cafe Pho. Fast & reasonably priced ($7 incl tax) for choice of pho, but stingy on the greens. The broth lacked intensity and had a murky quality. Pho Ha in Pioneer Square is better.
