Wonderful Hot Chocolate at Vita!. I have been to Caffe Vita twice now and both times I really enjoyed it! The first time I was here was last spring and it was cold and dark. I needed something warm. We randomly picked this place and went in. I ordered a Hot Chocolate. Yum! That was the best Hot Chocolate I had in a long time! So soothing and relaxing on a cold night. The second time Steve wanted a warm drink and we dove into Caffe Vita once again. We wanted something sweet to eat as well and split a pistachio cookie which rocked!Another really nice feature with this coffee shop is that it is open all of the time. When the other places shut down for the night, Caffe Vita is still going strong well into the night!
Very cool place. We walked here after we went to Bauhaus (we were hitting as many coffee places as possible!). I got their cold brew coffee with almond milk and the hubs had a chai latte. Both were amazing. Their cold brew was nice and refreshing and didn’t have any bitterness at all. Would highly recommend this place. We didn’t stay to hang out because it was getting late but it was very nice inside. The roasting facility was in the back and the barista told us to just wander back there and check it out since we were asking questions about it. Their roaster was nice and let us look around. It was cool to be able to see it all happening on site.
Service has always been mediocre, but good fresh coffee… Until today… I realize an Americano is the new drip, but I’m not paying $2.50 to have my drink pumped barely warm out of a gravity pot. If you get soo many Americano orders that you can no longer make them fresh or they are beneath you then drop the price and pump it from the tap. I’ll give it another shot because I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but if this is the new way I’m looking elsewhere for the old way. Oh, and I know they weren’t cleaning the machine because they made a drink for the person in front of me.
Good coffee. Fast service, good coffee and a bunch of stoners loitering. I would go back.
